Snake Catcher Berowra

Berowra combines bushland, rail infrastructure and residential streets. If the sighting is near a road or rail boundary, stay in a safe position and do not enter restricted land.

When calling from Berowra, explain whether the animal is indoors or outside, whether it remains visible, and whether children, pets, customers, livestock or workers are nearby. Harley can then assess the immediate risk and the safest access.

Local settings include national park edges, the rail corridor, bush blocks, rocky gardens, garages and pool areas. The priority is not to search each space; it is to keep the immediate area clear and preserve safe access.

Steep gardens, bushland boundaries and layered decks can make following a snake unsafe; remain on stable ground and report its direction instead.

• national park edges: Use national park edges as a landmark when explaining the last known position; do not move closer to inspect it.
• the rail corridor: Tell Harley whether the rail corridor is open, enclosed, elevated or difficult to access from the street.
• bush blocks: Do not place hands, tools or cameras into gaps around bush blocks; report only what you can see safely.
• rocky gardens: If the snake travels toward rocky gardens, note which side it entered and leave the area undisturbed.
• garages: Pause gardening, storage or maintenance work around garages after a sighting.
• pool areas: Where pool areas is shared, ask one person to control access and another to meet Harley.

A sighting does not establish that there is a nest or more than one snake. Avoid assumptions about species, numbers or where the animal has gone; preserve the last reliable observation instead.

• Avoid approaching from either side, particularly around national park edges.
• Ask workers, visitors and neighbours to use another entrance or area.
• Use a fixed landmark near national park edges to describe the last known position.
• Never touch, trap, corner, poke or attempt to kill the snake.
• If someone may have been bitten, call Triple Zero (000) immediately and follow the operator’s instructions.
