Snake Catcher Neutral Bay

Neutral Bay’s limited street and building access can delay entry if directions are unclear. Confirm parking, garage or common-property access when calling.

When calling from Neutral Bay, explain whether the animal is indoors or outside, whether it remains visible, and whether children, pets, customers, livestock or workers are nearby. Harley can then assess the immediate risk and the safest access.

Neutral Bay properties may include apartment common areas, terrace courtyards, foreshore gardens, garages, schools and construction sites. These features change access and visibility, so the last known position is more useful than an uncertain species description.

Shared gardens, apartment access and busy streets make a single meeting point and one nominated contact particularly useful.

• apartment common areas: Use apartment common areas as a landmark when explaining the last known position; do not move closer to inspect it.
• terrace courtyards: Tell Harley whether terrace courtyards is open, enclosed, elevated or difficult to access from the street.
• foreshore gardens: Do not place hands, tools or cameras into gaps around foreshore gardens; report only what you can see safely.
• garages: If the snake travels toward garages, note which side it entered and leave the area undisturbed.
• schools: Pause gardening, storage or maintenance work around schools after a sighting.
• construction sites: Where construction sites is shared, ask one person to control access and another to meet Harley.

A sighting does not establish that there is a nest or more than one snake. Avoid assumptions about species, numbers or where the animal has gone; preserve the last reliable observation instead.

• Do not surround the snake; let one calm observer remain well back.
• Move bystanders away from the Neutral Bay sighting without creating a crowd.
• Use a fixed landmark near apartment common areas to describe the last known position.
• Do not spray the animal, throw objects or try to force it into the open.
• If someone may have been bitten, call Triple Zero (000) immediately and follow the operator’s instructions.
